…you do know the stories overlap right?
It’s a legitimate question given the circumstances.
I wouldn’t say so, no?
Look at it this way: all you’d have to do to find out the answer would be to click through to my blog where you’d see that I post a lot of CLAMP then bingo, problem solved. It wouldn’t take much longer than it took for you to type out that comment, & if you can’t find it in yourself to do something as simple as that then chances are you’re not all that bothered about the answer in the first place. Which would lead me to assume that the main reason behind you writing that comment at all would be to assert, in a kinda condescending manner, that you know a thing. A thing that anyone well-versed enough in Tsubasa/Holic to draw that parallel more than likely knows anyway.
I’m hardly wounded by a stranger on the internet insinuating that I don’t know something, honestly I had a good chuckle over it, but seeing that sort of attitude in a fandom that’s generally pretty good about things kinda bothers me, y’know?
I suppose it never occurred to you that I had neither the time nor the interest to do as you say? Your blog posts don’t come across my dash enough to warrant my attention most of the time.
Honestly? My attitude has nothing to do with a fandom. The funny thing is that I was attempting to be reasonable and you decided to take offense. You made that choice. I did not.
Reading comprehension skills what are they we just don’t know.
If you cast your eyes back over what I said before it should be pretty obvious that it had occurred to me since I… covered that point… but I’ll say it one more time: if you didn’t have time to take two seconds to check, why then bother spending time writing the comment? If you’re not interested, why ask in the first place? If you’d like your attempts at being reasonable to hit the mark next time, why not drop the condescending tone?
I don’t care if you don’t care about my blog, that’s all good, I don’t expect you or anyone else to! What does bother me is people kinda acting like dicks.
Now this is ridiculous, you are being ridiculous, I am done with you please go away.

100 CLAMP Characters I Love, In No Particular Order
014. Kishuu Arashi“If you got hurt or killed, do you really think I wouldn’t care?”
bleargh I mean I just get…confused? when people act as though pointing out flaws in CLAMP is somehow this vastly unpopular opinion that shows off their keen analytical skills or something? and it’s never even measured criticism either, it’s always THESE ARE THE (VERY OBVIOUS) (YES WE ALL KNOW THAT) (YES WE CAN SEE THE NOODLE ART IT’S OK RELAX) REASONS THEY SUCK, and it’s always in the fucking tag which is just bad etiquette, full stop
And just - do they think that we as fans are unaware of these problems? Do they think that we didn’t analyse them into the ground as the chapters were being released? Do they think that we don’t REGULARLY JOKE ABOUT THE UTTER INSANITY THAT WAS TSUBASA, or acknowledge that X was kind of seven parts emo to one part plot advancement, or reminisce with deep fondness about Seishirou’s yaoi shoulders? We get it. We can see these issues and when we want to we can discuss them and when we don’t want to we can put them aside. It’s fine if they’re off-putting to some people. I can understand how Tsubasa can push you to the point where you stop reading. I get that Gate 7 is a difficult read if you’re not a Shinsengumi devotee. Reading a manga is a personal decision. I stick with these manga for my own reasons. You can drop then for yours. But this weird idea that we somehow don’t see these flaws, and that pointing them out is worth the time it takes to even make a text post? Makes no sense.
And again, fine, vent about how you disliked a manga on your personal blog. If you feel that CLAMP has let you down (I STILL FEEL THAT WAY ABOUT XXXHOLIC: ROU SOMETIMES, IT’S OK), you can talk about that. Go for it. It’s your blog. But the act of tagging something very deliberately means I WANT THIS TO BE SEEN BY THE FANDOM, and that comes off as needlessly antagonistic, not to mention a bit perplexing to people who just sit there going, ‘…why are you even making this point? We know that? We get it? Are you phrasing it in engaging critical tones so as to invite interesting discussion? No? OK, so…what are you doing here again?’
Just a reminder that the first time we see Kazahaya on one of his “other jobs” he is saved by a condom.
